The Museum of the Royal Estate of Marly Louveciennes, located in Marly-le-Roi in the Yvelines, is a museum created in 1969. Situated in the heart of the historic park of Louis XIV's royal estate, it preserves the memory of a country retreat designed in the 17th century as the king's intimate residence. The museum presents collections of art, furniture, archival documents and objects testifying to daily life at the royal court, complemented by temporary exhibitions about the history of the vanished estate. Although the Marly château was destroyed, the site remains accessible to the public who can discover the architectural remains of the building and the historic gardens integrated into the park. The museum offers guided tours and cultural events allowing visitors to better understand the role of Marly-le-Roi in the palatial universe of the Sun King.
