The Maurice Denis Departmental Museum is located in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, in Yvelines, in the artist's former residence. It is a listed building. The museum functions both as an artist's house and as an institution dedicated to sacred art, preserving the collections of Maurice Denis, a painter, decorator and major theorist of the late nineteenth century. Its holdings include works by great artists contemporary to Denis, including Van Gogh, Gauguin, Cézanne and the Nabis, gathered by the artist himself. The museum offers diverse programming for school groups, families and groups, enhanced by guided tours, creative workshops and a digital portal providing access to its collections.
