Musée scientifique
Lieu-dit Kerlever · Finistère · Bretagne
The Mineral Museum of the Cornouaille Botanical Park, located in Combrit in Finistère, was created in 2000 by Jean-Pierre Gueguen, founder of the adjacent botanical park. It presents approximately 1200 mineralogical pieces organized into three sections: minerals from the Armorican Massif, from France and from around the world, distributed across 40 display cases. Each mineral on display is accompanied by a label indicating its designation, mining origin and geographic location. The museum pursues educational objectives and the preservation of mineralogical heritage, in regular collaboration with associations, groups and academics. The collections are continuously enriched through exchanges and acquisitions.
