Musée
Nans-sous-Sainte-Anne · Doubs · Bourgogne-Franche-Comté

The Musée de la Taillanderie is a historic industrial site located in Nans-sous-Sainte-Anne, in the Doubs. Classified as a historical monument, it occupies a former forge specialized in the production of scythes, which was functional from 1828 to 1969. The museum preserves all original technical installations, including a complete hydraulic system and a unique bellows system in the world, still in working order. Purchased in 1970, the site benefited from conservation work that kept it unchanged and earned it the Masterpieces in Peril award in 1981. Visits, offered from March to October, include demonstrations of the historical mechanisms. The museum is located near Salins-les-Bains and Ornans.
