The Camille Claudel Museum, located in Nogent-sur-Seine in the Aube department, is a museum dedicated to 19th-century sculpture. It houses the largest collection of works by Camille Claudel (1864-1943), a major French sculptor of her time. The museum's collections also feature works by contemporary sculptors such as Paul Dubois, Alfred Boucher, Auguste Bartholdi, and Émile Laporte, offering an overview of French sculpture from the second half of the 19th century. The exhibition tour explores the main themes of sculpture from this period: the influence of mythology, the representation of the body, the feminine ideal, monumental sculpture in public spaces, and the evolution of techniques. Located near Paris, the museum is accessible in less than an hour by train from Gare de l'Est station.
