Maison vigneronne de Cuiseaux
Cuiseaux · Saône-et-Loire · Bourgogne-Franche-Comté
The Maison vigneronne is a site museum located in Cuiseaux, in Saône-et-Loire, which bears witness to the winemaking past of Burgundian Bresse. Located on rue des Lombards near the castle of the Princes of Orange, it preserves the material remains of an agricultural activity now forgotten: a large vat in the courtyard, an old cellar filled with bottles and the living space of former owners. The museum illustrates the forgotten architecture and history of winemakers in the southern part of the Bresse territory. It is part of the Écomusée de la Bresse bourguignonne. The site is currently closed to the public and only opens occasionally in summer during guided tours organized by the Tourism Office.
