The Museum of Deaf History and Culture, located in Louhans in Saône-et-Loire, is dedicated to preserving and transmitting the heritage of the deaf community. It offers a permanent exhibition complemented by temporary exhibitions, including one devoted to the hundred years of the Deaflympics, extended until March 2027, which features notably medals and official posters from different editions of these international games. The collections cover deaf history, historical figures such as Rubens Alcais to contemporary developments, as well as deaf sports and the accomplishments of French athletes. The museum offers guided tours by reservation and welcomes visitors on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays from 2pm to 5pm.
