The Comb and Plastics Museum is located in Oyonnax, in Ain, in the heart of Plastics Valley. Created in 1928 by the municipality of Oyonnax, it preserves a collection of approximately 16,000 objects documenting the industrial and craft history of the region. Its collections encompass the fields of hair ornaments, fashion and optical glasses, diverse plastic products, as well as historic plastics such as celluloid and bakelite. The museum also presents a comb-making workshop dating from 1900 and possesses a collection of dresses and accessories by Paco Rabanne. It hosts temporary exhibitions and offers educational activities for all audiences.
