Musée du Blockhaus Hôpital

Les Sables-d'Olonne · Vendée · Pays de la Loire

The Blockhaus Hospital Museum is located in the heart of Les Sables-d'Olonne, in Vendée. It is housed in a German blockhouse built in 1943, which has remained intact and been converted into a museum dedicated to World War II. Over approximately 350 m², the site features twenty rooms equipped with period materials, complemented by reconstructed scenes with forty-five mannequins in uniform, illustrated panels and historical documents. The museum offers guided tours, individual or group, as well as a 360° virtual tour. Educational activities, including a free treasure hunt for children, complete the visitor experience.
