The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Sainte-Croix Abbey, located in Les Sables-d'Olonne in Vendée, is dedicated to modern and contemporary art. Founded in 1963 by Pierre Chaigneau, it has progressively established itself as a leading institution in France for the dissemination of art from the 20th and 21st centuries. The museum maintains significant collections including notably works by Gaston Chaissac and Victor Brauner. Its activities combine exhibitions, lectures and educational programs adapted to different audiences.
