Musée départemental de la Résistance du Vercors

Vassieux-en-Vercors · Drôme · Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

The departmental museum of the Resistance of Vercors is located in Vassieux-en-Vercors, a martyred village that became a Companion of the Liberation. It traces the history of the Resistance in the Vercors massif, from the maquis to the fighting of 1944, through a collection of historical objects and archives. The museum fulfills a mission of memorial transmission and offers educational activities for schoolchildren and families. Its collections include photographs, period documents and testimonies. Guided tours, theatrical visits and temporary exhibitions complement the seasonal cultural offerings, particularly in summer. A combined ticket with other sites in Vassieux-en-Vercors allows a multi-museum visit at a reduced rate.
