The Museum of Prehistory of Île-de-France, established in Nemours in Seine-et-Marne, is a departmental museum. It presents the major periods of Prehistory and Protohistory in Île-de-France, from the earliest hunters to the first metallurgists, through collections of regional significance. The building, of contemporary architecture, is set within a particular landscape setting with its six interior gardens. The museum offers temporary exhibitions, guided tours and educational activities adapted for all audiences, as well as a virtual visit experience.
