Musée citoyen des arts verriers - La Bourboule

La Bourboule · Puy-de-Dôme · Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

The Citizen Museum of Glass Arts in La Bourboule is an establishment dedicated to glassmaking arts in all its forms: blown glass, molded, thermoformed, cut, polished or painted glass, presented as vases, sculptures and stained glass. Founded in 2012 and operating entirely on a volunteer basis without public funding, the museum presents works by French and Italian master glassmakers, as well as pieces from the Baccarat, Daum, Lalique and Sèvres crystal manufacturers. Located in La Bourboule, in Puy-de-Dôme, it is part of the cultural life of this Auvergne spa town. Visits, limited to ten or twelve people, are guided and last approximately two hours. The museum also hosts various themed exhibitions incorporating sports and other fields of artistic imagination.
