The Rural School Museum of Messeix, located in Puy-de-Dôme, is dedicated to the reconstruction and promotion of education in rural areas. The museum features a classroom recreated in its historical state, with period furniture and learning conditions from the past. Its collections include everyday school objects: celluloid materials, slate pencils, blotting papers, exercise book covers and class photographs, bearing witness to the evolution of educational practices. The museum is open to the public for guided visits and also welcomes groups by reservation. Educational activities are offered to teachers and their classes.
