The Asiatica Museum is an independent Oriental art museum located in Biarritz, in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. It presents a private collection of Asian art covering India, China, Tibet and Nepal, organized into thematic sections addressing various periods and traditions: prehistory, Greco-Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, Lamaist Buddhism, as well as decorative arts and jewelry. The museum adopts a three-step pedagogical approach – observe, consult, understand – designed to make Asian art and traditions accessible to visitors of all ages. Open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm, it offers guided tours for groups and schools.
