Le Mirabellum

The Mirabellum is an archaeological interpretation center located in Mirebeau-sur-Bèze, in Côte-d'Or. It is dedicated to the history of the Roman camp at Mirebeau-sur-Bèze and the daily life of the VIIIth Legion Augusta. The museum route, designed for all audiences, presents the major archaeological discoveries from the site through scale models, objects, reconstructions and interactive digital displays. The museum additionally offers immersive activities such as augmented reality, educational workshops (pottery, mosaic, basketry, ancient calligraphy) and an archaeological escape game. An online resource database also allows visitors to deepen their knowledge of the site and archaeological practices.
