The Diana Museum is an archaeological site museum located in Montbrison, in Loire. It is managed by the Archaeological and Historical Society of Forez, founded in 1862, a publicly recognized association. The museum preserves and presents collections relating to the history and archaeology of Forez, an ancient province corresponding approximately to the current Loire department. Beyond its collections, the Diana conducts archaeological research, organizes excavation sites and restorations at Forezian sites, and oversees several historical monuments. The institution also has archival collections and a heritage library, complemented by a regular program of educational activities, lectures, and guided tours.
