The Château de la Bâtie d'Urfé is a literary museum and house of famous figures located in Saint-Étienne-le-Molard in Loire. It occupies a castle in a rural setting and is part of the network of historic monuments in the department. The site offers thematic visits, educational programs and regularly hosts cultural events and public gatherings. Owned by the Department of Loire, the castle notably includes a chapel and a shellwork grotto. It remains an active heritage destination, combining conservation and cultural programming.
