The Allard Museum is located in Montbrison, in Loire, in a former private mansion. It brings together collections assembled by Jean-Baptiste d'Allard during the first half of the 19th century, initially forming a cabinet of natural history and curiosities. Since the mid-20th century, its collections have been enriched in the fields of fine arts and games and toys, notably thanks to the Gégé collection from the local industry. The museum offers on four levels recently renovated permanent displays as well as several annual temporary exhibitions, accompanied by educational activities and lectures for children and adults.
