The Custodia Foundation, established in Paris in the 7th arrondissement, is an institution dedicated to the conservation and study of graphic arts and fine arts. It houses the Frits Lugt Collection, a remarkable ensemble of drawings, prints and paintings, regularly enriched by new acquisitions. The Foundation presents temporary exhibitions devoted to artists or themes in art history, from the 16th century to the modern era. It also has a library specializing in art history, a restoration workshop and provides access to an online database allowing access to its collection. The institution pursues a mission of research and knowledge dissemination, notably through the publication of catalogues and the awarding of research grants.
