The Cherry Country Ecomuseum is located in Fougerolles-Saint-Valbert, in Haute-Saône, in a former distillery estate dating from the 1830s, listed as a Historic Monument. Surrounded by a heritage orchard, it is dedicated to the history of cherry cultivation and distillation in Burgundy-Franche-Comté. The museum tour traces the entire production process of AOC kirsch, from cherry tree maintenance to bottling and marketing. The ecomuseum combines a modern approach with the transmission of tradition in the presentation of this craft and agricultural heritage. It offers guided visits and educational services.
