Musée de Soissons

Soissons · Aisne · Hauts-de-France

Saint-Jean Arsenal is a contemporary art museum installed since 1995 in a 19th-century arsenal, located in Soissons in Aisne. It houses the municipal collections of contemporary art, consisting of nearly 400 catalogued works and representing one of the main collections of this kind in the Hauts-de-France region. The museum regularly offers temporary exhibitions in the vast spaces of the historic building. It is complemented by the Saint-Léger Museum of Art and History, housed in the former Saint-Léger abbey, and by a Center for Conservation and Archaeological Studies created in 2009. These three locations together constitute the network of Soissons Museums, preserving and promoting the artistic and archaeological heritage of the city.
