Magny-les-Hameaux · Yvelines · Île-de-France
The Port-Royal des Champs Museum is a national estate located in Magny-les-Hameaux, in Yvelines. Established as a museum, it preserves and presents collections of engravings and drawings documenting the history of the abbey and the Jansenist movement in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The site comprises two distinct spaces: the barn park housing the museum, and the site of the abbey ruins. The collections include notably representations of the cloister, portraits of religious and intellectual figures from Port-Royal, as well as preparatory studies of historical works. The museum regularly offers cultural events, concerts and visits, as part of an approach to transmitting this architectural and spiritual heritage.
