The Living Museum of Energy, located in Raï in Orne, is a scientific museum dedicated to energy sources used between 1800 and 1950 in small and large enterprises. Installed in an authentic 1916 factory that was formerly specialized in hot stamping of copper metals, it preserves and showcases the industrial equipment of that era. Its collections include industrial and agricultural motors, restored steam engines, Francis-type hydraulic turbines, as well as a hydraulic ram. A model room traces the evolution of water and windmills. The museum is characterized by the operation of machines in front of visitors, offering an immersive experience of Norman energy and industrial heritage.
