Musée Minal

Héricourt · Haute-Saône · Bourgogne-Franche-Comté

The Minal Museum is located in Héricourt, in Haute-Saône. A neo-classical building of "brick and stone" style, the museum stands out for its original design as a museum institution, a rare occurrence on a regional scale. The building, designed according to the plans of Madame Héloïse Minal and built by architect Paul Vinot, was inaugurated on August 26, 1923. The museum preserves the collections bequeathed by Madame Héloïse Minal: paintings, jewelry, furniture and tableware objects, including about forty canvases consisting essentially of caricatures. The interior includes a large exhibition hall bordered by two rotunda parlors and retains its period architectural elements, including the spiral staircase.
