Musée Edmond Rostand

Cambo-les-Bains · Pyrénées-Atlantiques · Nouvelle-Aquitaine

The Edmond Rostand Museum occupies the Villa Arnaga, the historic residence of the writer and playwright, located in Cambo-les-Bains in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques. Listed as a Historical Monument, this house-museum presents the collections of the Rostand family, a testament to their literary and cultural world. The collections reflect the eclecticism of its inhabitants, combining poetry and theater, fine arts and decorative arts, within a Neo-Basque architectural style characteristic of the Belle-Époque. The site includes the villa itself, gardens labeled "Remarkable Gardens," as well as annexed buildings including the orangery and stables. The museum offers both self-guided and guided tours of the heritage and its collections.
