The Museum of Old Pérouges, housed in the House of Princes, a residence of nobles in the medieval city, presents collections of local heritage and popular traditions. The permanent exhibition rooms bring together the historic earthenware of Meillonnas, traditional furniture, old objects from the kitchen and daily life, as well as tools, weapons and archival documents. The museum also offers temporary exhibitions of contemporary art and photography. The visit includes access to the watchtower, from which an orientation table offers a panoramic view of the surroundings, as well as a functional weaving workshop and a medieval garden. Located in the heart of Pérouges in Ain, this constitutes an atypical ensemble that documents the material and immaterial heritage of the region.
