The Museum of Old Auvillar, established in 1930 in the village classified among the Most Beautiful Villages of France, is dedicated to earthenware and local traditions of Tarn-et-Garonne. It houses more than 400 pieces of antique faience from the 18th and 19th centuries, produced by the numerous factories that had been established in Auvillar from 1739 to 1909. The collections also include votive offerings, models related to the barge traffic of the Garonne river, ethnographic objects and musical instruments. Created by the Association of Friends of Old Auvillar in response to the village's decline, the museum preserves the testimony of traditional activities and local artisanal heritage. Labeled and accredited with Quality Tourism certification, it remains managed by this association.
