The Gévaudan Museum is a museum located in Mende, in Lozère, in the Occitanie region. Open since the end of 2022, it has been labeled under the Heritage Code since 2003. Its collections embrace a diversity of fields: zoological collections, cave bear bones, herbarium, as well as fine art works. The museum pays particular attention to local and territorial history, notably through the historical theme of the Beast of Gévaudan. It offers a permanent exhibition enhanced by temporary exhibitions and mediation activities, such as guided tours and workshops.
