The Tuna Boat Museum is an associative museum located in Étel, in Morbihan, near the port and the Étel Bar. It traces the maritime history of the region, particularly the epic of the men and women of the sea who made Étel one of the most important fishing ports in France between 1850 and 1970. The collections include naval and landscape models, reconstructions of rigging, as well as themes dedicated to sardines, tuna and sailing, trawling, maritime heritage and sea rescue. The museum offers a dynamic tour enhanced by temporary exhibitions, videos, workshops and activities for all audiences. Developed by the association Autrefois Étel & sa région, this museum of society is similar to an ecomuseum and privileges authenticity and sensitivity in the presentation of the past and present of the Étel Ria.
