The departmental museum of the castle is located in the Grignan castle in Drôme, a listed historic monument situated in rural Provençal territory. It is part of a larger ensemble, the public cultural cooperation establishment "Châteaux de la Drôme", which also manages the castles of Montélimar and Suze-la-Rousse. The Grignan castle, presented as a royal palace in Provence, offers visitors approximately 4,000 m² of exhibition rooms open to the public, as well as 25 hectares of outdoor spaces. This establishment welcomes several tens of thousands of visitors annually and remains open for more than 300 days a year.
