The Solutré Prehistory Department Museum is a site museum located in a rural area in the commune of Solutré-Pouilly, in Saône-et-Loire, within the Grand Site de France Solutré Pouilly Vergisson. The museum offers prehistoric collections supplemented by a permanent exhibition and temporary exhibitions, as well as an archaeological and botanical park. It is part of a larger heritage complex, centered on the Solutré Rock, a major prehistoric site highlighting the archaeological importance of the location. The museum regularly welcomes groups and school classes and participates in the territory's educational activities.
