Musée de la Loire

Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire · Nièvre · Bourgogne-Franche-Comté

The Loire Museum is located in Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire, in Nièvre, in the former Augustinian convent, situated at the confluence of the Loire River and the Nohain River. It offers two visiting sections: a section dedicated to the history of the Loire River, its navigation and its boatmen, and a fine arts collection emphasizing modern painting, with works from the School of Paris. The museum has held the designation since 2003. Its collections and its program of temporary exhibitions make it a place for studying the river heritage and artistic heritage of the region.
