Musée militaire
Aubagne · Bouches-du-Rhône · Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur

The Museum of the Foreign Legion, located in Aubagne in Bouches-du-Rhône, is a military museum. Completely renovated in 2013, it occupies more than 2,000 m² and holds a collection of over 20,000 objects, of which 2,000 are displayed to the public. Heir to the hall of honor established in 1888 in Sidi-Bel-Abbès, the museum documents the history, traditions, and fundamental values of the military institution. It serves a dual function: a mandatory stop for legionnaires and a discovery space open free of charge to the public, welcoming approximately 20,000 annual visitors. The museum has an annex in Puyloubier, dedicated to a collection of uniforms from 1831 to 1968, currently undergoing restoration.
