The Museum of Haute-Auvergne is housed in the former 17th-century Episcopal Palace, a building listed in the supplementary inventory of Historic Monuments, located in Saint-Flour in the Cantal. The museum is dedicated to art and popular life, preserving archaeological collections, religious statuary from the 12th to 19th centuries, the Cathedral treasury, as well as an ethnological heritage comprising domestic furniture, costumes, musical instruments and folk art objects from Haute-Auvergne. The institution holds one of the most important collections of domestic furniture in the country and among its religious artworks is the statue of Saint Peter of Bredons. It offers guided tours of temporary exhibitions during the summer season and organizes free activities on the first Sundays of each month.
