The Rome Farm Museum, open since 1987 in Bézu-la-Forêt in Normandy, is dedicated to discovering the instruments and processes of milk transformation. Run by former farmers, it houses over 2000 objects related to dairy and rural practices from past centuries, including a unique collection of milk bottles, butter molds, cream separators and yogurt jars. The museum also offers an exhibition of cider bottles and collections of agricultural advertising posters. Located near the state forest and the GR hiking trail, close to Lyons-la-Forêt, the museum is situated in a rich heritage environment, neighboring historical sites such as Mortemer Abbey and the Château de la Fontaine du Houx. Accessible to individuals, groups and school parties, it transmits the popular knowledge of dairy production in Normandy.
