Musée
Bouchain · Nord · Hauts-de-France

The Ostrevant Museum is located in the Tower of Ostrevant, an Anglo-Norman keep built in the 12th century in Bouchain, in the Hauts-de-France region. It traces the history of the city, notably the periods of war and the architectural transformations of the building itself, which underwent several renovations over the centuries. The museum houses varied collections: objects related to bargemen and rural life in the early 20th century, as well as remains from the former church of Bouchain. It also presents testimony from the German occupation and the two world wars, including documents on Hitler's visit to Bouchain in 1940. Classified as a Historic Monument in 1981, the museum is managed by the association "Friends of Bouchain and its Museum."
