The Museum of Ochre, managed by the association Les Amis du Musée, is located in Saint-Georges-sur-la-Prée in Cher. It is dedicated to the history and uses of ochre, a raw material that has marked the local heritage and enjoyed international recognition, particularly the yellow ochre from the region. The museum offers temporary exhibitions, an art gallery, as well as discovery workshops on ochre intended for families and school groups. Its collections allow visitors to explore the life of the territory's inhabitants from approximately one hundred years ago. The museum also has a shop offering ochres and pigments.
