The Brittany Museum, established in Rennes in Ille-et-Vilaine, is dedicated to the history and society of Brittany. Its collections, comprising nearly 360,000 works and documents, document the evolution of Brittany, with particular emphasis on the period from 1850 to the present day, covering maritime, agricultural, and urban activities. The museum is part of the Champs Libres complex, a multidisciplinary venue that also includes a library and a science center. A section dedicated to Prehistory and the Revolution is currently undergoing renovation work, with reopening scheduled for 2026. The museum offers temporary exhibitions, guided tours, and digitized heritage resources accessible to the public.
