The Museum of Introduction to Nature is a natural history museum located in Caen, in Calvados. Owned by the City of Caen, it is run by the CPIE Vallée de l'Orne. The museum offers an initial discovery of the fauna, flora, geology and landscapes of Normandy, presented in the form of dioramas and permanent collections. It is accompanied by a Norman garden allowing visitors to identify the trees of the bocage, plants of the countryside and rocks characteristic of the region. The museum offers educational activities each year, temporary exhibitions and activities for all audiences, as well as free access to its collections.
