Musée Claude Debussy

Villeneuve-la-Guyard · Yonne · Bourgogne-Franche-Comté

The Claude Debussy Museum is housed in the home occupied by the composer and his wife Lily during their summer stays in Bichain, a hamlet of Villeneuve-la-Guyard in Yonne. Inaugurated in March 2026, this house-museum traces the history of the couple in the hamlet and the influence of these periods on the composer's life and work. The collections include testimonies, photographs, paintings and musical scores documenting these stays. A 52-minute film, "Claude Debussy, Three Summers in Bichain," directed by Christophe Monier, is screened every Sunday. The site also hosts artistic events and recitals, complementing its role as a center dedicated to Debussy's life and musical legacy.
