Musée d'histoire locale
Saint-Paul-sur-Ubaye · Alpes-de-Haute-Provence · Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur

Located in Saint-Paul-sur-Ubaye in Upper Provence, the Musée Au Fil De La Vallée occupies a former barn converted into an exhibition space. It evokes mountain life before mechanization, through agriculture, domestic life, and the craftsmanship of the inhabitants of the Ubaye valley. The museum presents a reconstruction of local habitat and displays the tools and expertise of ancient trades: blacksmith, farrier, carpenter, shoemaker. An exhibition dedicated to wool and pastoralism showcases historical and contemporary practices, particularly around the Arles merino sheep. The museum regularly hosts guided tours, educational workshops and artist residencies that engage with its collections.
