History & HeritageMusee Abri Du Marin
Île-de-Sein · Finistère · Bretagne
The Abri du Marin Museum is located on the Île-de-Sein, a small commune in Finistère in Brittany, accessible without an automobile. The museum is part of this island's maritime and cultural heritage, whose history is intimately linked to the sea and fishing activities. It shares its opening hours with the local Lighthouse, both accessible from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed Mondays and Tuesdays). The museum's collections reflect the life of island fishermen-sailors, their shipwrecks and rescues, as well as the material and human history of the island. The site remains closed on certain days and access to the lighthouse remains subject to weather conditions.
