Les Abattoirs, musée d'art moderne et contemporain

Les Abattoirs, a museum of modern and contemporary art, has been located in Toulouse in Haute-Garonne for over twenty years in the city's former slaughterhouses. It functions both as a museum and as a Regional Fund for Contemporary Art (Frac) for the Occitanie region. The institution defines itself as a place of artistic exchange and sharing, offering permanent and temporary collections complemented by artist productions, performances, concerts and debates. Beyond its museum role, Les Abattoirs houses a library, a bookstore, a café-restaurant and offers educational activities and traveling exhibitions throughout the region. The site radiates across the entire regional territory through exhibition programs and artist residencies.
