The House of Insects, located in Carrières-sous-Poissy in the Yvelines, is a museum open to the public since 2017, managed by the Office for Insects and their Environment (Opie), an association founded in 1969. The museum offers a playful and sensitive approach to discovering insects, both local and exotic species, through original scenography designed to change visitors' perspective. Beyond the visit, the establishment hosts educational activities, workshops, lectures and organizes field trips. The House of Insects also serves as an anchor point for the broader activities of Opie, particularly professional training in entomology, citizen science and species conservation projects.
