Musée municipal Robert Dubois-Corneau

The Robert Dubois-Corneau municipal museum, located in Brunoy in Essonne, occupies the former residence of historian Robert Dubois-Corneau (1876-1951), who devoted his life to the study of Brunoy and the Yerres valley. The museum was initially built around the collection bequeathed by the historian upon his death in 1951. Its collections cover a chronology from the 18th century to the present day and bring together works of various natures, notably works by the tragedian Talma, painter Maurice Eliot and sculptor Maurice Prost. Labeled "Musée de France" since 2003, it offers temporary exhibitions, guided tours, educational workshops and activities for school and family audiences. The museum contributes to raising public awareness of local history and the heritage of the Yerres valley.
