The Dupuy-Mestreau Museum is located in Saintes, in Charente-Maritime, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. Labeled according to the Heritage Code since 2003, it constitutes one of the cultural institutions dedicated to local heritage. The museum is part of the cultural offering of the city of Saintes, alongside other spaces dedicated to heritage and collections. Its operation and collections reflect the museum's mission of these Saintonge institutions with regard to the preservation and enhancement of regional heritage.
