The Antoine Lécuyer Museum of Fine Arts, located in Saint-Quentin in the Aisne, is recognized. It presents an international collection of pastel portraits executed by Maurice-Quentin de La Tour (1704-1788), the "prince of pastellists" of the 18th century, offering a panorama of French society during the Enlightenment. Beyond this prestigious collection, the museum preserves Italian, Nordic and French paintings from the 17th to 20th centuries, sculptures, Chinese and Japanese porcelain, 18th-century earthenware, as well as an important collection of ivories and furniture. A building reconstructed between 1928 and 1931 by architect Paul Bigot, it was inaugurated in 1932 and remains the most important fine arts museum in the department. The museum regularly offers lectures, concerts and temporary exhibitions.
