Musée de La Roche-sur-Yon - Espace Malraux

La Roche-sur-Yon · Vendée · Pays de la Loire

The La Roche-sur-Yon Museum – Malraux Space is a municipal museum located in La Roche-sur-Yon in Vendée. Since March 2023, it has been housed in the former André-Malraux kindergarten school and offers an educational approach centered on welcoming young audiences through dedicated spaces and activities. Its permanent collections highlight the museum's important holdings, particularly works by artists Paul Baudry and Benjamin Rabier, presented over 450 m² distributed across five permanent exhibition rooms and one temporary exhibition room. The museum preserves a collection comprising paintings, sculptures, contemporary photographs, decorative arts and graphic arts. Awaiting the planned transfer in 2028 to the former Conservatory premises on Place Napoléon, the museum continues its mission of promoting local heritage and cultural revitalization of the city center.
