Lille · Nord · Hauts-de-France
The Pasteur Institute Museum in Lille, located in Lille in the North, traces the history of the Foundation from its creation in 1894 to its contemporary research. Housed in the former apartments of Albert Calmette, the museum presents historical documents, scientific instruments, period manuscripts and notably the original strains of the BCG vaccine. The scenography combines traditional elements — cabinet of curiosities and laboratory reconstruction — with interactive digital installations. A dedicated path for children aged 8 to 12 offers a playful approach around a discovery game. The museum is open to the public on weekends for self-guided visits, with a free audio guide available on a mobile application, and welcomes groups by reservation during the week.
